Hi all... I finally was able to track down a couple turkey poults about three weeks or so ago... one flew the coop so to say.. and one has a bad foot. The toes are very floppy and turn inward. She walks on the sides instead of the bottom, if that makes sense. I can not believe I did not notice the foot when i was picking them up. she was the only white one left, and I was very enamored by her. Checked wings, eyes, beak and butt... but not the feet... (who does that??
) the toes are now starting to turn black. She lays on the ground a lot... more so than the other ones. the reason I am writing is.... last night and again today, she seems to have the shakes with that leg.. am I doing her injustice by leaving her be? she is eating drinking and foraging fine. limps a little when she tries to run, but no other health issues. Do I need to cull her? or just leave her? I m afraid of the blackened toes..... will go see if I can get a picture
