Unusual item in nesting box

First I'll say, we have 3 Roosters and 14 hens. They are free range and they get feed layer feed and scratch too. All hens have been laying for a while. I go to get eggs out of the nesting box today and I find something weird looking. One box had looked like a red ball it was squishy and when I popped it. It was yellow like a yolk. In the second box there was white silky flim and yellow yolk slimy stuff. It was broken in pieces but the slime was holding it together. Has anyone ever seen anything like that before?
Exactly how much scratch are you feeding?

I'd stop feeding it immediately and only feed the layer feed.
