wanted: good hen to lay n sit on eggs-Westbend,WI

I have acouple of hens already but some of my hens arent too good at sitting on there eggs after laying. I just wanted to see if anybody out there has some hens they want to sell to me. Thinking of buying about 5 to 6hens. I dont care how the hens look. Just big enough. Would like to pickup if close to WestBend, WI. Thanks

hi, how close to westbend do you want. I've some year old cuckoo marens that will go broody as so as it get a little warmer. Just so you know there is no guarantee that they will go broody, chickens can be like that you know, but they have in the past.

The best setters and mothers I have ever had are partridge cochin bantams. I keep some around all the time just for that reason and can't imagine hatching eggs and not having a Partridge hen to mother them. I also allow some to hatch thier own for replacements.
Awesome little birds that really ear thier keep.
