This guy was my neighbors and when his hens died he joined our flock. Last week I noticed half his toe missing and bleeding, yesterday another toe bleeding and his legs and feet look awful! What could this be? Treatments?

He has scaly leg mites, and may have lost a toe due to frostbite in the past or injury. I would soak his feet and legs in warm water with Dawn or Epsom salts. Use a toothbrush to clean the legs and scales. Then dry his legs. You can apply either Nustock cream with sulfur or vaseline to smother the legs mites. Repeat the cream/ointment twice a week until he grows new healthy scales. You can make Nustock by adding sulfur powder to vaseline.
