What breed

Hello BYC! I have just bought two ducklings. I think they are black Swedish, but I’m not sure any ideas what they could be.
This is chicken and cow.

This is chicken and cow. And I’m not the most creative, but I thought it was funny.

Help would be appreciated thank you.

Thanks. I’ve never had black ducks before I’ve only had runners.

One more question. Can black Swedish or any Swedish be breed with runner ducks.

Yes, they can be bred Runners, Swedes, and other domestic ducks are all derived from Mallards, and are therefore very closely related to each other.

Wow thank you! I know this may be a weirder question but what about calls? I have some call ducklings hatching soon so can runners and calls be bread. Sorry if it’s a dumb question.

Yep! Calls are derived from Mallards, too. It’s more difficult for Calls and larger domestics to breed due to the size difference, but it’s certainly possible.

You'll have to keep us up to date on that one, I don't think I have ever seen a Call/Runner Mix before.
