What did you do in the garden today?

Rain stopped. Cloudy gloomy morning. More rain around 1 pm. I think there will be a lot of mosquitoes hatch especially once the river goes down. So many puddles for them to hatch in. My minnows are keeping the mosquito larva cleaned up in the stock tank.

I had poor germination on Cheyenne Spirit coneflower and Hollyhock. I planted more Hollyhock seed and purple coneflower.

I planted nearly all the fingerling potatoes, then planted two 8 foot rows of black turtle beans. I also planted a few more baby bok choy seeds. Time for lunch. Apparently we may get an afternoon shower. Hopefully not so I can finish mowing in the backyard. Next is the upper garden.

Btw: @Sueby I don’t save any nasturtium seeds. I don’t plant many and the seeds keep for a few years.

I'm well over 15 pages behind...

Currently on a trip to bury my parents tomorrow. Getting lots of rain and bad weather at home. Really wish I could see how my garden is dealing with all the rain....

Mainly cleaning up time in garden - mowing around it bc I don’t trust anyone near my plants
Bean tunnel filling out nicely. I also have cucumbers and tomatoes in there too. Putting chicken poo chips on outside of it to help fertilize it!
Nasturtiums.
Slow process of turning clay into good dirt.
I wondered where all my worms went - could dig and get a handful. Found them under pile of chicken poo chips
