Three weeks ago I took some live oak acorns and popped them on top of soil and covered them with leaves. Today I had to move them to a bigger pot (like 15g) because the ones they were in just weren’t big enough. out of 78 acorns only one hasn’t done anything.

Also, artichokes!

Do you know what kind of oaks they are? I had reason to do some serious research into tree selling and planting last year and found out that in my state if you wanna distribute more than, like, 20 trees each year you need a permit (something like $150) and to know what species and variety of tree you were selling so you could report it. State DNRs do it to keep track of very serious tree problems like emerald ash borer and such.

I finally found my veg*n main dish recipe for Yule using my winter squash I grew. I found a recipe for vegan pie crust made with coconut oil and I'm going to make a pie filled with the squashes, cashews, kale and mushrooms.

Pretty excited to have that all sorted out!
