My lawn got mowed! Joy to my world because I didn't have to do it And those hole-digging Araucana will not be stepping foot on it after I tripped over this morning. I can't believe how many holes I had to rake soil back in to yest. I should have stuck to spoling more surface-dwelling bantams

A fresh unfiltered farm honey is pretty close to being as good. Plus, honey from your local area hives contain local pollens and I'm pretty sure this benefits immunity against local allergens.

I have an entire Hoosier cabinet dedicated to nothing but honey. Local, far-flung reaches, and international, plain and flavoured. Pollens in honey does NOTHING for my allergies....I am queen of allergies. LOL.
4 shots a week and allergic to antihists too. HA!

My daughter in law gave me several cuttings from her black currant bush, and some of them were big, multi-branched sections. I got out my pruners and made several small cuttings from the big ones. I now have about 16 cuttings in an old battery box full of dirt.

I will have a black currant grove/forest in the future if they all form roots and grow. LOL



This is a currant cutting that I planted early last spring. It's already leafing out now, and I'm hoping to see one or two clusters of blossoms on it this season.



These are the little plants I set out in the garden yesterday...



This flower is just outside the run. The chickens have had plenty of chances to eat it, but it must not on their preferred foods list.

I don't know what kind of flower it is. Does anybody know???

Good evening all. Haven’t done much outside today other than feed and water the crew. Went to get my hearing aids adjusted today, much better and only three months late. I hate going up there, way too many people. I can definitely relate to pot holes, some deep enough to break an ankle if you’re not careful . Attila doesn’t freak out so bad when I go out with food and check water and the chicks are getting used to me so I’m going to try for some pics tomorrow. She’s still keeping them hidden from the others though, so I may put Elvis in the small coop so he will leave her alone. Sometimes I think he’s a little bit special and doesn’t understand the whole situation. I’ve been thinking about planting some Armenian cucumbers but our temps are so crazy I haven’t done so yet.

I decided to try to hack away at some privet this evening. Got a good pile chopped down until my new mini-chainsaw battery died. I'll have to finish the rest this weekend. Hoping we don't get any more freezes. It looks like I have damage to the blueberry flowers too....

Seriously though, that must really suck! I was shocking with allergies as a kid, hospitalised with asthma etc. No fun.
