I took my grandkids to watch the Christmas parade last night. Then we walked up and down main street drinking hot chocolate and looking at the decorations in all the store windows.

My DH and I re-planted many lilies in the garden today. We got them all done. They needed to be moved from another area as they were too crowded. There were way more than we thought there were!

For sure they are stubborn, dominant and like to have their own way. SIL had one that was the destructive dog from Hades.

I called my brother to wish him a happy birthday, and we talked for about 15 mintues. I haven't talked to him in a while.

I don't talk to my brother very often either, but we stay in touch by text. He's about all that's left of my family, so I sent him the words I found on a mug I saw recently. It said:

Thank you for being my brother!
If I had a different brother I would punch him in the face and go find you.

He replied: Thanks! I feel the same about you! (He is my twin.) That was not today, but it made me very happy.

My brother does not text. He's dyslexic, never finished high school.

He has built homes for people who have 3 private jets. His dining room table, if it were in a furniture store, might have a $10K price tag.

He did very well with the talents he has.
