WHAT SIZE COOP & RUN FOR 40 LAYERS?

I'm also a first. timer to chickens. and we have 32 chicks but i don't care about my grass is a 9x11 a good. enuff size to house all my hens

I know this is an old thread but I have seen people use "boxes". They are just wood frames with chicken wire on top to save the lower portion of vegetation. It's worth a try.
