What the heck? Concerned based on eggs.

I've got 3 golden comets that started laying about a year ago. Recently I've noticed the egg shells have thinned a little and the yolks are lightening. I've been feeding Purina layena pellets, have 2, 5 gallon watering buckets, and recently purchased a 7lb feeder that I have to fill twice a week. Previously I fed them every morning one pint of feed and they provided for themselves the rest.

Then this happened when I went to make an omelette(picture), should I be concerned?

I believe it's just a fluke deal, and wouldn't worry about it. I just read about that somewhere...
