When do you take away the heat lamp??

I have 5 week old chicks and they'll be 6 weeks on Monday. When do you think I could take out the heat lamp. Plus the heat lamp is about 2 and a half feet up. Thanks for any help!

It's probably time, if you have large fowl. The weather is warming as we head toward the end of May. If you get a strange, cold night, say of below 50F this weekend, then perhaps a 90watt lamp to take the chill off, but that's about it. Allow them to adjust over a few days, and they will be super fine.
