Hello And forgive my ignorance...
I have a broody hen and to keep her in her funk for chicks I am hatching in an incubator, she sits on indertile eggs. My hatch went poorly ( first time) and I only have one chick. It hatched 4 hours ago.I`m almost positive the other 2 eggs are not viable. No peeps on day 24. The one that hatched started peeping day 23 ( yesterday)
I was too afraid to candle due to keeping humidity, temp levels good.
Anyway, is it too soon to put the kid under this hen? He looks pretty wet and pathtic in the bator.

Regards

Let chicks dry in the 'bator and put him under Miss Broody at night. By morning she will think the little guy is her own. I've done this more than once and it has turned out fine each time. I have silkies as broodies and they take new chicks very well.
