Why is my chicken acting like this

She's about a month - 2 months old and she all the sudden just puffed up and stopped moving, she's hiding under the coop and being really quiet. I don't know what to do as I've never dealt with sick chickens and stuff.

Puffing up and becoming inert is a symptom of not being well. But to try to figure out what's wrong, you need to handle the chicken and examine it from head to toe, checking the crop for abnormalities and looking for injuries on the body and feet. Also the poop must be examined.

If you have a pet carrier, go get it and put some old towels in the bottom so the chicken won't slip on its poop. Give it food and water and then place the crate where you can observe this chicken. Write down all you see. We will help you put together the clues and figure out what's going on.
