Wound, grease or rotting skin on hen's head?

This is my one eyed hen. I'm not sure what she has and how to treat it.

She's always in the workshop so I assumed yesterday she had a bit of grease on her head and I didn't see her the day prior (she roams freely but usually near the house and her preferred flock, we have 2).
I just took these pic's a few minutes ago, she lays her eggs in the workshop area.
I normally put a bit of diluted bettadine on wounds but I'm worried about her breathing it in and having trouble. She did have the sniffles early winter (May where I live in Paraguay) and we don't know why her eye closed sometime before, but otherwise she's been fine, lays well and is always poking her beak into things and having a chat.

It looks like blood, but can you get a picture from the side? Could she have injured her comb on something where she stays, or been attacked by a predator? You could apply the betadine with a cotton ball or cloth.
