I have, what I was told, is a Cuckoo Marans hen. She laid her first egg today and it was a light cream colored egg. I was very disappointed because it wasn't even remotely chocolate in color. Could anyone here tell me what breed I *DO* have? Or if perhaps maybe a newly laying pullet may apply the chocolate spray paint later on?
Note: She does have feathered feet and shanks.
