YO GEORGIANS! :)

Good luck to you. If you find out you can’t have chickens try to petition for it. We recently had a successful petition about the new chicken rules here in Effingham County and we got the commission to agree to 1 rooster and 4 hens in the R1 residential zone. Roosters will be dealt with on an individual basis as a nuisance animal if they are too loud and bother the neighbors.
I can't do Chicken here in Kennesaw... or they would allow me like 2! So, I went ducks. :)

Hello fellow Georgians! I used to be active here on BYC about 14 years ago and was raising and showing Seramas, BBS Orpingtons, Modern Game Bantams and Silkies. I currently just have some backyard laying hens (and a few boys) but am so excited to finally get back to the breeding and showing world!

Hi all! Canton, GA here. I am looking for a good local place to get a day old chick. My last clutch only had one fertilized/hatch and he needs a buddy. I have a second clutch due to hatch in 11 days. Should be about 6 in that one.

First clutch was an attempt to preserve my roosters progeny as he was injured but it looks as if he will be ok!

I would try any farm/feed stores around you like Cherokee Feed and Seed or Tractor Supply. Or maybe The Pasture Farms? Could also check out the GA farmers bulletin, craigslist or FB poultry/farmers group and FB marketplace!

Best of luck!

Hey Georgians! I'm wondering if anyone has a lead on a rental that will allow cats and chickens (and maybe a pig). Something close to Duluth in Gwinnett or nearby counties would be ideal. 2 adults, 2 children, a betta fish, and a conure as well.
