| Additional Information | Ord 3109 subsection 2 Chap 6.04 \"two chickens are allowed per household\". also see http://co.maui,hi.us/planning/rules.htm Personal communication with owner of the only hatchery in Hawaii, Mr Asagi, @ asagihatchery.com confirms that Maui follows Honolulu rules. A proposed ordinance in 2003 was discussed before Maui County Council to BAN poultry, but was vigorously opposed. I can\'t find a cite for any vote on that proposal, but it appeared to die. I have joined HawaiiBackyardChickens to try to confirm. Finally, Pukalani is part of Makawao, in an agricultural area. I\'m sorry I couldn\'t pin this down any tighter. |
