I thinned out my carrots yesterday and cooked the greens (and tiny roots) into some fried rice. Waste not, want not, right? Also the first thing that I've gotten to eat out of my garden this year.

What an adorable garden pest. Rather like I feel about the deer that hang out in my yard.
I got some free fence panels a while back. We used four of them to make the chicken yard (between the greenhouse and the side fence) and will probably use the rest to fence off the area between my house and the one next door neighbour. I don't have enough to fence between my greenhouse and the house, but I did get a bunch of stakes and a bunch of barbed wire. I'm thinking of using that. The problem is that I'll need some kind of gate if I don't want the only access to the back yard to be through the house. They are fenced out of the garden. This was right in front of the front door steps. There is a notch in the concrete steps at the back that they love to hide in.
I fenced the deer out of my upper enclosure when they started going after 20 year old trees.
