Made some fig walnut sd bread yesterday ( half is already gone ) a friend of mine gave me some sd I had given her years ago, one of them was really not active, so I switched it to spelt flour, now it is very bubbly

Okay, I spoke too soon. I am making apple cinnamon rolls (“with the cream cheese in the middle!” as instructed), and more biscuits using yogurt.

It’s been forever it seems since I baked anything but hoping to at least make some bread this weak

Today I baked corn bread to go with some split pea soup. A simple repast, but containing all the essential amino acids* for a complete protein. Very satisfying - my idea of "comfort food."

*legume + grain.
