Any thoughts on breeds and gender?

I got these at Rural King. The largest one is supposedly an EE born on 10/23. The rest are supposedly born 10/30 and are two more EE, three Rhode Island Reds and two black Orpington. They should all be pullets but I’m getting nervous about the red combs developing on the orps. The orps seem shy so it would be strange behavior for roosters perhaps. I’m new at this though.

My neighborhood doesn’t allow roosters. I would definitely re-home them responsibly if they are roosters.

I know it is early to tell gender but please provide your thoughts. Also, I have read here that breeds are often completely wrong. Thoughts on the breeds please? Thanks!!

Black Orpingtons exist along with Australorps AKA, Australian Orpingtons. Orpingtons are a type that males show early as 2 weeks old. They grow their combs earlier, which makes it easy to sex them.

So sad. Any ideas on what to do? Do you think Rural King would take them back for sale or should I post them somewhere? I don’t want them to be snake food.

You can call, & ask them, I've never gotten chicks from them.

I agree with @Gray Farms on breeds, and also that the Australorps appear to be cockerels.

that's what I thought
