Are embden and Chinese swan geese different

Yes they are different breeds

Embden are a domesticated breed derived from the wild greylag goose Anser anser.

The Chinese swan goose is a close relative Anser cygnoides, of which the African and Chinese goose breeds are derived or partly derived from.

I've read Africans were bread with heavier breeds like Embden for production qualities. But I'm not sure if that was before or after they were Africans and to what degree.
