electrolytes vs apple cider vinegar???

I have a friend who raises her birds "organic" who gives her birds electrlytes to start them off. Is this actually organic? Where do they come from? I give my chickens cider vinegar in the waterer daily - doing so because of advice here on BYC. So chicken folks, which do you use? Why?

I use ACV daily - then once a month I give them the V & E without the ACV to give them a vitamin boost. Never did any harm so far

I don't believe in over-indulging in anything good - my DH ended up in the hospital for taking TOO many vitamins.

My first chicks got electrolytes in the brooder. I started giving them ACV when they went outside. I may just start this year's batch on ACV.

I can concur with jerseygirl1, too much of a good thing can be bad. I'm currently not suppose to use vitamins or eat leafy, green vegetables b/c of Vitamin K being a clotting factor.
