Scientific study on Marek’s resistance in Fayoumi and other breeds. Chicks were unvaccinated against the disease. Fayoumi are not the only breeds that show resistance.

I wonder if the resistance is an "artifact" or throwback to their being so much like the native jungle fowl--small size, etc, before we bred for size and egg-laying productivity?I’ve read quite a bit about scientific studies to find out why they are resistant, just need to go read the studies themselves. Possible resistance to virulent New Castle as well, but I need to read more about it all. I’ll be doing some research about them and posting here with links to what I find.
