(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I am new to chickens and having lots of fun with them!
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
I received my 8 chicks two weeks ago.
I was pretty nervous when on the third day after getting them, one of my chicks was acting listless; not eating or drinking. I called the feed store where I purchased them and was told she was probably dehydrated. I tried all day to get some water into her with no success. That night I realized that that was not the problem and that she had an enlarged crop (impacted crop? sour crop?) I gave her apple cider vinegar mixed in water with an eye dropper which she took eagerly. I put her in a brooder by herself that night and thankfully the next morning she was absolutely fine! Her crop was back to normal size. I put her back in with her peeps that day!
