Hi Doreen, welcome to BYC. Do you mean FIV?
If so, it isn't easily spread between indoor cats. It requires a deep bite, and can't be spread via a shared water or food bowl .

That is how Precious got it but it was from a cat that comes to our yard !!

That is how Precious got it but it was from a cat that comes to our yard !!

I'm sorry. That's awful.
I recently lost my big black male cat. He was an adult when he found us, and despite having him neutered, he didn't lose his will to wander. We worried about him, but there was no way he would stay indoors 24/7. He disappeared about a month ago. We sure miss him.
I hope your boy will stay in good health.
