Hi all. We gave away all our chickens years ago when I took on a job that didn't allow me to take proper care and had and ugly situation between our lovely rooster and his son (looked like a clone). But we have repurposed part of our shed for a nice and secure coop and will be purchasing some chickens within the month now that we have the time to dedicate to them. Once you've had fresh eggs, you just can't really go back. Fortunately my daughter has some and we've been trading "piggy" food for fresh eggs but she lives cross town and we just miss having our own. That being said, is there any place or any members that live in the NW Arkansas area that have laying hens for sale? I would rather start that way and then eventually add young'uns as the others get older.
