I'm a new member on this site. I am a retired PE teacher and my wife is a retired elementary teacher. We moved to a hobby farm about 8 years ago. We have chickens-mostly the "production" type (reddish). We have a 8 year old buff hen still alive and a Rooster that is a mix of all the kinds we used to have. We are hatching some now to replace our present bunch. (I eat a lot of eggs) We've also had Guinea hens for @ 6 years. They are great for eating ticks. Their numbers have dwindled so we are getting keats soon also. We live in Upstate, NY. (Argyle) not far from the Lake George area. looking forward to interacting on these threads.
