Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? Yes, we are getting 50 chicks this week!
How many chickens do you have right now? We're going 0 to 50 in four days
What breeds do you have? Mixed heritage breeds. I am working with another farmer and went in with him on his chick order and am getting 50 out of his mixed flock.
What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? Don't know that yet.
What are some of your other hobbies? Currently we have two horses and a pony and the chickens will be the next step as we expand our farm.
Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I was researching brooder options and found a website that linked to this: Mama Heating Pad in the Brooder (Picture Heavy) - UPDATE | BackYard Chickens - Learn How to Raise Chickens and realized I needed to be part of this community.
