Silkie vs. Polish Eggs

Are silkie eggs easily distinguishable from polish eggs? I have a polish hen who I think would be happier in my silkie pen, but I don't want to hatch out silkie/polish crosses, only silkies. I'm wondering how hard it would be to just remove Polish eggs when my silkie goes broody. Thoughts?

From my own experience with hatching bantam varieties of both, yes. Polish eggs have been larger and whiter. Whereas the Silkies have been way smaller, off white and waxier. You can always compare when they start laying.
