Songster
I posted previously about my two hens that went broody the same day, in the same space. I tried to separate them but they went a bit berserk until they could cuddle up again, and so they stayed.
We had a terrible storm and despite being covered, the broodies and eggs got soaked. They were to hatch a few days ago but multiple candlings showed no signs of viability.
Yesterday we picked up four chicks and under the cover of darkness, slipped them under the broodies. We removed all the eggs we could, although a couple are still out there. This morning I found the hens still side by side, with the chicks hopping on them back and forth, and tucking in with both mamas!
