What did you do with your flock today?

Good afternoon all. I gave my flock some wet feed this afternoon and hung out with them while they ate after I did some coop chores

I haven’t soaked Iris or Papa in Epsom salt since Thursday. I’ve still been changing their bandages and putting Neo and HP on.
And today Iris’s major bumblefoot spot, on one of his back toes, dried up and came out! I guess not soaking him for a while is what he needed. There’s still some buried pretty deep that I need to pick out, but I’m finally making more progress!

There were other pieces I wasn’t able to get a picture of, but I got most of the major chunks.

Now both back toes are completely/mostly cleared out.

That’s great news. Bumble foot can be a real pain to deal with.

I stopped getting alerts for this thread.


I got my chickens moved out of the house and into their new coops. It’s been 8 months since my house was last bird-free. I’m hoping tomorrow I can get updated pictures of them.

We finally mixed the Welsummers and Golden Comets together. There was (and still is) some jostling but they seem pretty content to be around each other.

One of our welsummers has gone broody so I'm working on breaking her (or at least getting her out of the nest so she can eat and enjoy the outside. Wish me luck! lol
