Worms in the chicken poop

When I clean ou the coop I`ve been collecting the poop for a neighbours garden. She adds water too it and leaves it to ferment (don`t know why either) any way she stopped by to say the mixture was full of worms. Did they come from the chickens and if so what do I do? Or has something just got into the bucket and these are the hatched eggs or what ever. My chickens seem healthy but I did notice 1 isn`t geting as big as the others. Thet`re about 3 months old

Most likely they are maggots. I wouldnt worry about it.

Maybe your neighbor was making manure tea to fertilize her plants. You are supposed to use well-composted manure to make tea out of though, not fresh stuff.
