Here is a coop that my husband made in about 3 and a half weekends.
Coop is 6x6x9 high.
Standard two by fours, some exterior plywood already designed to look painted with ridges on the outside, and standard plywood and wood scraps on the inside - we insulated it as well.
We purchased two Harvey windows on Craigs list for total $50. and made a third window with screen and plexi glass.
We also have a chicken door, a man door and an egg door. If you are interested in some basic plans, we will be happy to share!!
The run is 14 feet long and six feet wide and for 13 hens and one rooster - mixed bantam and regular sizes.
