Yes, it's hard to tell. The tail is long, but I've no experience so wasn't sure that was even an indicator. Thank you

Hi all, some updated photos, now these chicks are 8 weeks. Pretty sure both are male but one has a much redder comb & bigger wattles than the other so still unsure as some hens seem to have pretty big combs. So does it def look like I have 2 roos? Thanks for your help

Thanks, luvmychicks, yeah, think I have to resign myself that they most likely are. One is a bit of a bully, the other gets in between and gently breaks up squabbles so maybe at least one will be a good guy ☺

My chicks are6 weeks old now. Isent so e pics to the personI got them from & he now says they're red mottled leghorns ... who knows! They are healthy & happy, doing great, whatever they are ☺ Anyway, I wondered can anyone tell yet what gender they might be? I thought this 1st one might be male...

Hi all 😊 WAY behind in my garden this year because I got my first chicks so I've been happily occupied with them. Spuds all went in on time, St. Patricks day. Need to play catch up fast so plan to sow some peas, beans,cabbage, carrots & winter squash tomorrow. Short season here so I've missed...

Oh ok. The guy I got them from said he hatched brown leghorns & cream legbars so was't sure which I got. Looking at pics online i've been assuming brown leghorns but maybe not. I don't mind what breed/mix they are though. I just love them anyway 😊
