I pointed out to her that it was mother's day. She gave me this look, and then proceeded to run around yelling at the other chickens for five minutes.

Checked with our neighborhood chicken expert and she says I'm on the right track with Hazel!

Hazel took a bath. I have re-examined her symptoms, and have come to the conclusion that the vet screwed up. She has all the signs of vent gleet.

Hazel after getting back from the vet. She needed cuddles to feel better. She was so upset.

Hazel almost died. She had what I thought was egg binding, but it was actualy not, so we took her to the vet. They put her on pain meds and a few other things, and she is doing fine now, but it felt like a close call. When we were in the car home I thought she was going to die, but the panting was stress about the car, thankfully. She is back to feeling sassy and trying to start fights with the other girls.
