Here’s the last one from me.
We used heat lamps for a long time, and we were always scared of setting a fire, the chicks being too hot/cold, and we could never get a secure place to hang it/place it.
So we got a heat pad! We had to teach the chicks to sit on it when they’re cold- much like teaching them to drink, but it’s SO much easier to maintain/clean. And no worries of fire or placement!
I actually very much recommend- for small flocks.
