4 new babies!

We have lift off! Mama has taken her new babies outside to teach them how to forage. It's the cutest thing I've ever seen. This is what I've wanted all along. Breed my own flock.

Hens with their babies are so adorable. I just need to find a rooster that won't attack my wife so I can have my one chicken that keeps hiding her nests to try and hatch them have babies.

Sitting out at the farm watching all the girls and I saw one of the hens go after the 8 week old babies and Mama, who stopped really raising them 2 weeks ago ran to their rescue! I was surprised but glad to see that she still cares....a bit.
