Hello!

The duck starter I have for my 2 baby anconas is a 22% ration, which contains 60mg/kg of niacin. is this enough or do I need to be supplementing additional niacin? also I have been told the 22% Is a bit high so I've been slightly diluting it with oats to get around the 20% mark. is this right? any help appreciated!!

I don’t know how to attach videos. Do you have an email? Was wondering if you could help me with my duck. Not sure if it’s a niacin deficiency or not??

Thank you!

is the 22% no too high though? I've read that could cause angel wing?

I raised my ducklings on 22% starter, moved them to Purina duck feed when they were a little over a month old which is 19%. They're 9 weeks now and no cases of angel wing, 20 ducks total, mix of Rouens, Cayugas, and Khaki Campbells.

Thank you!

It is not too high.
Environmental issues such as crowding, excess light, and lack of exercise can predispose a bird to develop angel wings; if you ensure none of these are occurring, you shouldn't have many problems.
