Any scary waterfowl moments today?

Hello, I had a not so great moment while swimming today so I wanted to know if anyone else had scary waterfowl moments today!

I’ll start off, my moment was when I went swimming with my ducks n my troublesome duckling got out of my reach (I got tangled in their leash) n by time I was free they were half way down the delta! I tried to chase them but the current was too strong.
Luckily we got them and they’re fine now but boy, nothing in that was fun.

I ended up getting pretty Tired so I clipped the leash around my neck (it can’t tighten so it was fine) n my duck actually seemed like he was trying to help me back! He stuck by my side those few mins of me fighting the current.

I’ve never had ducks n never knew an animal could be so smart. I kept saying “ Pull pull pull ! “ n he’d swim off and every time I called his name he came back. Wish I could say the same for his partner

Anyhow, bittersweet moment!
