Chick died

Can anyone help with this? The chick was popping for hours and then stopped. Looked like it was struggling to breathe. After no movement for awhile, we tried to open shell and this is what we see. Can anyone tell us what happened?

So sorry. Sometimes they just don't make it. I had one that had somehow got its wing over its face and smothered itself. It's hard to see one make it to the end and not hatch, and no reason.
