Morning. I have 9 ducklings, 2 weeks old as of tomorrow/Sunday. They all seemed to be on the same page as far as size but now I am noticing some are a touch smaller in size. They are of different breeds...Rouen, Swedish, Cayuga, Appleyard and a white one Pekin? ...The Cayuga and Swedish seem a touch smaller now. They are in the house so I watch them-there does not seem to be any fighting for food and water. They swim every few days in the tub. They get brewers yeast with the Manna duckling food and eat A LOT. I would assume just some breeds are naturally smaller?

If I have the breeds incorrect, please let me know.

These pictures are a good week old and one of Ms Nettie because she is so cute. :)

Thank You!

They are adorable! The breeds you mentioned are a little smaller as adults than the others. So, smaller ducklings does make sense.

Ms Nettie looks like a Golden 300, not an Appleyard although I suspect Golden 300s are bred from Appleyards, Khakis and a third type (Swedish?).
