Thanks!Hi and welcome to BYC I am sure someone more knowledgeable about hatching eggs will be here soon to answer that.. in the meantime , congratulations, you're a chicken mom!
Thank you. It's so much fun.Hello and welcome to BYC!
Congrats on your 2 babies! I'd let the wet one dry off more before removing her, babies chill easily. It shouldn't take too long. Enjoy your new chicks!
I have two hens, but didn't want to take the chance of them not keeping them warm. They're only 5 months. I have no clue how I would do that. Also, I can't have a rooster. HOA. But yes. I'm sneaking my chickens. Shhh.Welcome. I don't incubate, I have only hatched with a hen and this past hatch was my first hatch. It was successful thanks to the help of @janiedoe. Have fun with your babies.
Welcome I would leave it until it floofs out completely. The chick will be just fine till then and It is quite important right now that it gets dry and stays warm.Hatched my first eggs. Out of 12, I have two. They shipped from Ohio. I'm so excited. My first is in the brood area. It's all fluffy and so cute.
The second seems to still be quite wet. Wondering if I should move it?
Thank you!
Melissa
