Hello fellow chicken lovers. I have raised this chicken breed for years and have always thought of them being Rhode Island Reds. However, it seems like I might have been wrong all along. Can anyone help me out. I am situated in Europe (if that makes any difference). Thanks in advance!

Rhode Island Red would have a black tail, but yours has a white tail and some white in other places too. So yours is not a Rhode Island Red.

Yours is probably a Red Sexlink. They are commonly made by crossing a Rhode Island Red rooster with certain kinds of white hens, and they are sold under a variety of names (ISA Brown, Golden Comet, Red Star, Lohmann Brown, and many others.) They are called "sexlinks" because the males are a different color than the females, so they can be easily recognized when they hatch.
