I do like Carhartt but it's pricey. I will dig out my ole Carhartt pants. Damn jeans are just so disappointing.

I buy carhartt jeans for DH. For me, I just buy several "throw away" pairs that I pick up from Goodwill for the intentional purpose of farm work.

I have daffodils 5 ft away from an arborvitae with a browse line

right, they won't eat the daffs, but that doesn't keep them from things around it.

FYI the green overalls, unless you have a totally flat butt and belly do NOT fit and they are STUPID long in the leg, but not from hip to crotch

I just rode 10.5 miles on the bike round trip for a slice of cheesecake for dessert tonight. LOL
I just buy men's coveralls and alter them. But we SHOULDN"T HAVE TO!

I altered a couple pair of hubby's pants to fit me. Man, they are sturdy! And the pockets are REAL sized, not "feminine" sized.

Right on!!! This is my reaction to most of the women's pants I've had in the past few years:

DH has pants that are going on a decade and just fine.
And the pocket issue....ARGH.
