My Coop
This is the coop my 9 year old son and I have been working on. It has been completly constructed out of used shipping crates. The only things we have had to buy so far are the hinges, handles, latches, poultry wire, and tin ($60 bucks total investment)....
Framed out the coop is 48"X48"
Started sheeting the coop
Built the nest box with 3-12"X12" nesting areas

Added 2' treated legs, chicken ramp, and some trim to clean it up
Handles, hinges, latches, poultry wired windows, and tin installed, also weather treated the exterior of the coop
Here are our 3 day old Barred Rock chicks
Coop and run are pretty much complete, once the snow melts we will attach the 2 together
Chicks are 2 weeks old now and have doubled in size
