An Inside Look at the Humble Sexlink Chicken

Thanks for presenting the info in a clear and readable way! Article is detailed without being too technical.
Very informative and interesting article, and very well explained. I enjoyed learning about sexlinked chickens. It was a bit odd how much you had to apologize for the "complexity" of the information though... It was laid out so easy to understand. Also, don't folks learn this in school anymore? We covered basic genetics back in 10th grade... so this wasn't hard to understand at all.

Thank you for taking the time to write this article. It was very well written and thought out. I also like your humor and that you are upfront about the genetics section possibly being over some readers' heads.

I have always wanted to see an article that has accurate information on sex-linkage that is easy for a newbie to understand. :thumbsup
Thank you for taking what could have been intimidatingly technical information and making it interesting, engaging and informative. The complexities of genetics have always been a little challenging for me, and of course it is a complex subject, but I came away from your article with a clearer understanding of how this works in chickens ( of course they would have to be so different from humans, lol!). I'm sure I'll come back to it many times to enhance my understanding. I loved the diagrams. I also love it when a writer shows a masterful use of language, grammar, spelling, syntax and punctuation, as you did. Very well done!
One note: feather speed as a sex linked trait is still for two different breeds. It does not work withing a single breed
I love this article because of the detail and it shows the humble sexlink in a whole new light. my flock consists of 4 sexlink girls and 4 similar cross girls, and they all have very cute personalites.
Well written article, helpful diagrams and photos!
