A thorough, step-by-step modification of a shed into a wonderfully functional and beautiful coop! I love it, and it's presented in a way that makes me think even I could do it. 😂 I bet your girls are so happy.

This is quite possibly the best thing I've ever read on BYC! I was wondering how to add more chickens to my flock; sadly, I now realize I only have 1. No wonder I felt like I needed more!

Now, I can't just get one chick -- it would be lonely. And if I get 2, one might die, leaving the other lonely. Therefore, the only safe number of chicks is 3. But since 3 chicks is only 2 chicks, I need to get at least 6 chicks to have that safe number. It's all clear now! And if those 6 chicks are all different breeds, that's really only 1 chicken in the end. The possibilities are endless (as is the chick order!)!

Might as well get 9 just to be safe. ;)

This sounds like fun! I have a hard time finding one cooling treat that everyone loves, but this has something for everyone! I can't wait to try it. I wonder if I can use fresh, chopped veggies in water. . . ?

This is indispensable information for a wannabe quail owner. Having basic care and traits all in one place makes it very easy to sse which species would be best for me (Coturnix, by the way!). Thanks for writing this!

I was wanting to build one of these, but it seemed intimidating. You made it look easy! This will be my next project. I especially love the way the metal roof overhangs.

I have a harness, but was worried about putting it in. It was good to see the pictures, because all those straps look intimidating, and who wants to scare their chicken while they try to get it all straight? I will try it out this summer, on my BO, who is calm like Kiwi!
