I'm glad I'm not the only one with an "old lady" flock. I still have the first chicken I got, a cuckoo marans hen who gave me lots of eggs and raised lots of chicks. She is 7 this year and not laying. She is the flock leader and keeps everyone in line. I have some 6 year olds too that will have a home forever.

I needed a good laugh and this provided it. When people ask me how many chickens I have, they are shocked no matter what I say so I break it up into 1 rooster 2 cockerels, 7 pullets etc. That was they are too confused to comment.

Excellent picture presentation, step by step detail, good use of free products that were used in a way that made them work. Very pretty coop when finished and well done.

I worry about my chicks when I sell them to people, but I always give them this website. This is an excellent article on keeping chickens in a smaller area, with great ideas of how to keep them occupied.

A well written, knowledgeable article on rooster behavior. I have tried to keep roosters in the past, but they crow all day and it makes me crazy! I will reassess the situation, since I have a Buff Orpington cock that I want to keep. He is only 6 weeks old, so no bad behaviors yet, lol.

This is another coop I'd be interested in building, but there are no instructions. Lots of wonderful pictures, great design, a winner of a coop in all ways except instructions. It may be that the designer doesn't want to provide free instructions on an award winning coop, and I can't blame her.
This is a great article with good pictures, good explanations, and pretty birds. I really like the coop and wonderfully large run, and the chicken tunnel to the run. Everything was well though out, and very nicely done.

The article is full of wonderful pictures and the coop itself is beautiful, but I would like to see step by step instructions. I think some people are just showing their coops, and the purpose is not to include instructions, but it would be nice to have them.

I like this coop a lot, looks easy enough to build, there are a lot of great pictures, but no real instructions. If it had some along with the pictures it would be a 5/5.

If they could add a step by step guide, with pictures it would be helpful.

I love this day by day article. I read it every time I have eggs in the incubator. It always amazes me how the chicks develop so quickly. Great pictures with great info!

It is amazing what you can build with no money. This is very cute, roomy, and well made. The only thing I would look for in the future is hardware cloth instead of chicken wire. It is so much work pulling apart pallets, and using the lengths you have. Bravo!

I also liked the day by day pictures and the chickens who were too chicken to use their coop!
