azygous helped me out a lot with our hen who suddenly developed symptoms of sour crop. Our rescue bird went downhill and I had no clue what it was. Treating for symptoms of sour crop, we were able to save our bird. Thank you for this article that every chicken keeper should bookmark,

I'm a creature of habit, so changing my normal go-to biscuit recipe was very hard for me. Made this recipe to accompany meal night and was very surprised by the outcome. I was so scared the bottoms had burnt as brown as they were, but surprisingly soft and flaky. They're Southern alright, so put yourself some biscuit soppin' syrup, honey, or homemade canning jams on there. Soak up that pile of gravy and eat it with your next baked chicken meal like we did. 4 out of 5 stars just because I need more practice to get comfortable with this recipe - I used regular milk, but I think buttermilk would've done MUCH better

It would be 5 stars if not for the dough firmness aspect. Just made this today and either flour or milk measurements are too much. The dough was very soft and sticky, and I had to add ALOT of flour to get this semi-firmed and even then it was still sticking. But, got them made and served with powdered sugar and honey drizzle. Very tasty!

I made it just this morning and wow! We remarked it tasted good on its own even before syrup. Lots of time cooking, but well worth it. You'll never want plain French Toast again. Reminds me of regular French toast and a Buttermilk Pie mash-up with texture/taste.

I love the mention of the "flying" happy behavior when they follow you as youngsters. What a great article with cute photos to accompany it. I also highly suggest trying clicker training with young birds to help further socialize with them
